Zip & Pip Poultry Supply Dealer Shipping & Delivery Policy
Zip & Pip Poultry Supply manufactures and distributes products to authorized dealers, warehouses, and third-party logistics (3PL) facilities across the United States. The following terms outline how shipping, freight, and delivery are handled for all dealer orders.
Shipping Overview
Shipping costs are calculated based on delivery distance from our manufacturing facility, product dimensions and packaging, shipment weight, and freight class.
Freight rates are provided at checkout or through a formal quote. For large or specialized shipments, quotes are issued separately and are valid for 7 days.
Each product listing includes any specific shipping requirements or limitations.
Freight & Delivery Expectations
- All shipments are scheduled for commercial delivery locations only, including warehouses, distribution centers, and 3PL facilities.
- Delivery locations must be equipped to receive freight shipments, including dock access or unloading equipment.
- Dealers are responsible for confirming delivery site capabilities prior to shipment.
- Zip & Pip does not arrange residential delivery under standard dealer terms.
Dealer Freight Expectations
To maintain efficient shipping costs and predictable logistics, most dealers ship to a central warehouse or 3PL location, consolidate orders to maximize pallet or truckload efficiency, and use facilities with dock access and forklifts.
Because products are large and freight-based, shipping costs can vary significantly depending on distance, order size, and delivery conditions.
Centralized receiving is the most effective way to reduce per-unit shipping costs and protect margins.
Order Confirmation & Processing
After placing an order, you will receive an order confirmation email. Payment will be pre-authorized at the time of order, and all orders are reviewed for availability and production scheduling.
If a product is unavailable or backordered, we will notify you to coordinate next steps.
For in-stock items, orders typically move into processing within 5 business days.
Production & Shipment Timelines
- Standard products ship based on availability listed on each product page.
- Custom or made-to-order products typically require 4–6 weeks of production time.
- Once your order ships, a shipping confirmation will be sent within 24 hours.
If confirmation is not received within 6 business days, contact contact@zipandpippoultry.com.
Receiving Requirements (Warehouses & 3PLs)
To ensure successful delivery, receiving facilities must have dock-height access or forklift capability, be staffed during delivery hours Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and be able to accept palletized or crated freight.
The receiving party is responsible for inspecting all shipments upon arrival, noting damage on the delivery receipt, and signing only after inspection.
Failure to meet these requirements may result in re-delivery fees or refused shipment charges.
Damages & Claims
All shipments must be inspected at delivery.
- Note any visible damage on the delivery receipt before signing.
- Take photos immediately.
- Submit claims to contact@zipandpippoultry.com.
Failure to document damage at delivery may impact claim approval.
Flatbed & Specialized Freight Policy
Certain products require flatbed delivery due to size and structure. By placing an order requiring flatbed freight, you agree to the following terms.
Freight Pricing Factors
Flatbed rates are based on distance, load size and weight, and any special requirements such as permits or tarping.
Additional charges may apply for expedited delivery, oversized permits, wait time, or ferry and special routing.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
Changes must be made at least 72 hours before pickup. Late cancellations may incur a $1,000 fee.
Delivery Requirements (Flatbed)
Delivery sites must provide adequate truck access and maneuvering space, a clear unloading area, and equipment or personnel for unloading unless otherwise pre-arranged.
Flatbed shipments do not include unloading unless explicitly stated.
General Conditions
- Carriers may refuse unsafe deliveries.
- All shipments must comply with applicable laws.
